Before launching your locations we recommend requesting a viability check from our team. A viability check is a scan of your address or merchant’s addresses against our active fleet coverage historical data, to ensure order fulfillment and on time completion. This check will help to set expectations and secure a positive customer experience. Our team is happy to assist in checking viability for your address or addresses, prior to launch. In fact, we recommend it!
The viability model that we use is primarily based on supply and demand:
- Supply : We look at how many active Postmates we have seen in the location historically. This factor captures the fleet health of the area in general.
- Demand : We also look at how many orders were completed in your merchant locations historically. This factor drives Postmate availability and behaviour.
Viability Request Format
Viability requests should be submitted in Excel or Google Sheets in the following format:

Viability Score Matrix
The viability report returned by our team will have a scoring (1-4) mechanism which is a good proxy of how well a particular location is likely to perform both in terms of completion and on time rates.
Additionally, we are continuing to grow and expand. If any of your merchants are given the OOZ (out-of-zone) score, we cannot service them currently, but viability may change in the future.
